SRC presents the Sheila Bharat Ram Theatre Festival every year in the month of June. It is an annual festival where we showcase our repertory productions written by some of the greatest playwrights. This festival has hosted SRC Repertory productions like William Shakespeare’s classic play 'Hamlet' directed by K Madavane. , Mahesh Dattani’s English play “On a Muggy Night in Mumbai” directed by K S Rajendran. “Appointment with Death” directed by Sohaila Kapur. an Indian classic, Mahasweta Devi’s “1084 ki Maa” directed by Sameep Singh. We showcased Moliere’s “Tartuffe” directed by K Madavane. Girish Karnad’s “Agni aur Barkha” directed by K S Rajendran. “Kaali Shalwar” design and directed by Atul Satya Koushik. Written by one of the famous and controversial storyteller Saadat Hasan Manto and Girish Karnad’s “Tughlaq” directed by K Madavane to name a few. This festival presents an opportunity for theatre enthusiasts to treat themselves to the best acts from SRCPA.
