Voice in theatre, performance, interaction or any level of presentation, plays a major role in creating a lasting impact. A good command over voice provides all those who communicate a sense of power and confidence. In the field of acting, it is essential to not only look like the character but to also sound like one. This intricate detail can actually make the character more convincing to the audience. Therefore, the art of expressing through voice and allowing it to act is as important as embodying a character physically.
WHO WILL BENEFIT FROM THIS PROGRAM?
COURSE OFFERINGS
1. Control various aspects of voice and speech:volume, pitch, modulation, diction(syllable and enunciation according to language)etc.
2. Decode the structure of a dialogue into units and subunits.
3. Impactful delivery of dialogues.
4. Control of speech and command of breathing for 2-3 hours on stage.
5. Understanding text and subtext.
6. Understanding Timber – texture of voice.
7. Variations of voice and sound based on emotions
This program exposes participants to a stage play but in an unconventional format. After 2 months, a dramatized reading of a full length play will conclude the program. This unique performance will reply only on the participants’ voices, eliminating blocking, costumes and make-up with minimal visual aids. Characters will be represented completely with help of the techniques learnt.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
1. Candidates should be 18 years or above
2. Minimum educational qualification required- 10 + 2
3. No prior experience in theatre or acting is necessary.
HOW TO JOIN
1. Admission is done on a first-come, first-served basis. You can either download the application form available below or collect one from the venue(Shri Ram Centre).
2. The candidate should provide one passport size photograph, an ID and address proof document (Adhar Card/driving license/passport etc.) along with the duly filled application form
